5 out of 5 stars Lego City Camper Review   August 28, 2010
e-Mom (overseas)
I recently bought this product for my eight-year-old daughter. She enjoyed it very much, with the female figure being her favorite. However, please be aware that the camper will be small, but could be worse. The little features like fish, bicycle, surfboard, table and chairs, etc. extends playability. Looks nice and was easy for me to put together in little time. It stays together during normal play, so it's durable enough and I am quite satisfied... I would buy again.

5 out of 5 stars Vactioning in Lego Land!   August 23, 2010

Ever since my son started getting into the Lego City sets, he's had his eye on the Lego City Camper set. He loves the Lego sets that "do stuff" and this one does a lot. The back opens up so you can set up eating and sleeping arrangements, and there are enough accessories (surfboard, bicycle, grill, fish, mugs and frying pan) to keep the minifigure pair (a man and a woman) busy.

Complexity: This is a fairly complex set. You build the bottom half of the camper and the cab, and then the fold-out camper shell halves are assembled. My son took care of the minifigures and some of the larger pieces (windows, wheels, etc.), but I had to build the rest.

Playability: It's a bit tricky getting the camper open, but once you do the play possibilities are endless. Between the camper configurations and copious accessories, the two vacationing minifigures (so far dubbed Mama and Dada) can have plenty of adventures.

This set was money well spent, and a great addition to our growing Lego City. I also think it makes a great gender-neutral set, more so than the fire and police sets at least.

4 out of 5 stars A Fun Lego Product Just Right for a Ten Year Old   August 8, 2010
Roger D. Pavey (Iowa, USA)
My son received this Lego kit as a gift. He put it together without any help and unlike other sets, has left it together and still plays with it nearly a year later. The back swings out to reveal the inside play area. Very good kit, just about right for a ten year old to follow instructions and build on his or her own.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value and good set for a girl   August 4, 2010
L. Elkerton (MA United States)
This is a very nice set for the price. My just 6 year old daughter loves it! I built it with her the first time, but she could build it herself after that. There is just one hard step where you attach the hinges so the sides swing open. She has a hard time figuring out which way to put them on, so they swing properly. I would consider her an average builder. She is not interested in a lot of the Lego City sets (fire, police, etc), but this one caught her eye. A great set for a girl (or boy)!

4 out of 5 stars 7yr old grandson loves it, as he is just getting into camping with his Dad   June 24, 2010
Gramma Carol (Costa Mesa, CA)
Camping will be a part of my grandson's life this summer and he loves the toy with the surf board, bicycle, and the fish to cook for supper!
